Dictionaries
Google is an easy way to find things. To see a definition for a word or phrase, simply type the word "define," then a space, and then the word(s) you want defined. Otherwise, check some of the sources below.
The One Look dictionary search list many different ones.
The American Heritage Dictionary is quick and easy.

Word Spy is devoted to lexpionage, the sleuthing of new words and phrases.
Merriam-Webster OnLine has both a dictionary and a thesaurus.
